It isn’t easy being Jeppe on the Hill. He used to be a soldier, now he drinks to forget his miserable life: poverty, toil, and an unfaithful wife who beats him up. One day he is found sleeping the drunk of by the side of the road by a contemporary artist, having found the motive of his next socially engaged artwork.
Christian Lollike’s version of Holberg’s Erasmus Montanus was a huge success in Denmark, and the expectations are high as he once again reinterprets and directs one of Holberg’s most beloved classic comedies from the 18th century for Aarhus Teater with Enter Ghost.
